TOOLS

In 2015, I began a journey designing a set of hand-held block-printing tools.

These tools were originally inspired by the traditionally carved wooden tools of India and Southeast Asia, in that I wanted them to be used for printing patterns. My goal, however, was to create modular tools that allow for patterns to be adjustable and re-designable by the user. I wanted to create fun, interactive tools that allow for the creative process of pattern-making to be an integral component of the tool.

The Pin Block, Pin Cone, and Sequence Tool are all re-arrangeable. Allowing for the flexible tube or the blocks and rings to be moved, printed, moved again. Aligned, re-aligned, and printed repeatedly for pattern and surface design.

They are a labor of love and prototyping is slow, but I hope to bring them to your hands very soon.

Patents have been issued for The Pin Block and The Pin Cone. Patent pending on the Sequence tool.
